Welcome to the home of the Southern Ash Wildlife Shelter, located in Gippsland, Victoria, Australia.
We are a non for profit, volunteer run shelter. We have a team of dedicated volunteers and wildlife carers, who spend endless hours caring for our precious wildlife.
Our current goal is to raise funds to purchase the land for our wildlife hospital, this has to be done solely through our own fund raising.
Our government does not do enough for Koala preservation.

"I fear for the future of koalas with all they are having to cope with. Not only do they require suitable habitat, we also need to ensure genetic variability to enable koalas to combat disease and have some chance to evolve and cope with the rapidly changing environment they live in.
